- Knaf Pocket Knives - Story Video Editor - Paid
Job Description
$19/hr. Contracted. Mostly remote with occasional visits to our shop in Clearfield, UT.
The Company
Knafs is a goofy little company that makes interesting pocket knife schtuff. We're family owned and operated, and we’re launching this wild rocket to glory. We’re a small operation, and everyone does a little bit of everything. There's a healthy dose of "let's figure this thing out together" in our business that requires problem solving and cerebral engagement. We sell our products on Knafs.com, Amazon, and to over 30 dealers across the world.
The Job
Knafs needs a storyteller. An entertainer. A creator. A video editor. If you love chiseling a story from a block of solid marble…..errrr, folder full of footage, then we need to talk. We have a YouTube show all about pocket knives(I know it’s weird) and it’s called Knafs@Nite. We do a segment called “Field Trip” where we travel all over the world finding cool knife stories. This is where you come in. We need an editor to put these “Field Trips” together. In simple terms. They are short(2-5 min) little mini docs that need to happen every week.
Responsibilities
Essential Skillz
● Someone who reflects our core values of kind, scrappy, dependable, humble and goofy. Yes, goofy is one of our core values.
● Story Telling: It’s not enough to just know how to run editing software. You need to know how to tell a story. Can you assemble a good one from a folder full of footage?
● Editing: Are you proficient with editing software? We use Davinci Resolve over here. If you don’t know Davinci Resolve, no worries. We can still work with you.
● Communication: Are you timely with calls, texts and emails? We need to be able to get a hold of you when you are working remotely. Communication is key.
● Attention to Details: Tens of thousands of people are going to see your work(pretty cool huh?), so typos and flash frames aren’t going to cut it.
Additional Skillz,:
● Knives: If you know something about pocket knives that would be great! If not, be prepared to get up to speed pretty quick.Additional Information:
● We offer employee discounts on everything we make.
● Education: we believe in teaching and learning. Sure, we need a job done. But we love to help our people understand the end-to-end process and how they fit into what we’re doing here.
● Growth: Knafs is on a wild growth pattern right now. We’re seeing cool things happen, and we need people who are willing to grow with us. We can’t promise you the moon, but that’s where we’re headed.
● Equipment: This is an off site contracted positionPosted November 11, 2024
