Laptop Policy

Computer Science students are required to have a computer that meets or exceeds the following minimum specifications:

• i7 / Quad-Core i5 / Ryzen Equivalent
• 16 GB RAM
• 256 GB Storage (500 GB Preferred)
• WIFI 6
• Webcam &  Mic (built-in, or external)
• Windows, OSX, or Linux (Some of the software we use is Windows only, plan appropriately).
• 15" screen or larger is preferred

There are also a limited number of laptops available to checkout during a class period from CS Lab Aides.

There are laptop rental kiosks in the Noorda Building (Ogden Campus), 3rd Floor and CAE Building (Davis Campus)

There are laptop rentals at the Library and Computer Labs.
