From the beginning of Weber State University more than 125 years ago, teacher preparation has been a focus of the institution. This emphasis continues today in the Teacher Education department with majors in Elementary Education, Special Education, and licensure programs in Early Childhood Education and Secondary Education.

The Department of Health Promotion & Human Performance offers training for careers helping individuals lead higher-quality lives by being active, healthy and free of injuries. Degree programs include Health Promotion, Physical Education, Outdoor & Community Recreation Education and Sport Coaching.
