Women's Center Scholarships
Women's Center scholarship applications must be submitted by March 16, online through the WSU scholarship application link located on your student portal. You are also strongly encouraged to complete your FAFSA application for federal financial aid by March 1.
If you qualify for any of the following scholarships make sure to state the name of the scholarship/s in the activity field of the WSU online scholarship application (i.e. Jane Breen Holmes, Waterstradt).
Scholarship Applications Due March 16:
Altrusa Club Scholarship (Awarded in Spring)Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants can be a Utah resident or non-resident. Full or part-time enrollment. Preference will be given to single students with dependent children.
Jane Breen Holmes Scholarship
Applicants must be a single parent, with custody of their children and a full-time student with a 3.0 GPA. This is a cash award.
New Beginnings ScholarshipFull-time enrollment, Utah resident, U.S. citizen, minimum of 24 credit hours completed at time of application, minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to single parents.
Sue Westenskow Scholarship/Women in Business
The scholarship recipient must have demonstrated financial need and academic achievement. Recipients can be full-time or part-time.
T. Wells ScholarshipFull-time enrollment, minimum GPA of 3.2, majoring in Business & Economics or Network Technology & Business Multimedia (Telecommunications and Business Education). Preference will be given to a student in their second year of study.
Applicants must be a full-time, junior or senior female student, age 25 or older, with a declared major, have a 3.0 GPA, and be a resident of Weber, Box Elder, or Morgan counties. Excluded majors include: business, physical education, and nursing. This is a cash award.
Other Women's Center Grants
Students must be 20 years of age or older, a single parent, a full-time student with a GPA of 3.0, and have completed 24 credit hours at the end of spring semester. Additional considerations include community and volunteer service. Students must be a resident of Utah and a U.S. citizen. Award must be used for tuition.
Women's Center Appointed Leadership Scholarships
Students must be a full-time student with a 2.5 GPA and have completed at least 12 credit hours at the time of application. Students are invited to volunteer 10-12 hours per week for professional development and/or are given specific leadership responsibilities to fulfill in exchange for the scholarship. Students must be a resident of Utah and a U.S. citizen. Award amount may vary depending upon recipient's other funding sources.
