Internships provide students with the unique opportunity of stepping out of the classroom to enhance their education and gain experience in a real-world setting. Participating in internships at the local, state, and national levels allows students to gain valuable insight into the political system and public service, and get a head start on a successful career.
The Value of an Internship

Three Walker Institute interns spoke about the value of internships during Weber State University's TEDx. Watch them here:

How to Apply

Applying for an internship only takes a few simple steps:

1. Take a look below at the internships on the opportunities page that are available through the Walker Institute.

2. Download and print the Internship Application, fill it out, and return it to the Walker Institute in the Social Sciences building room 346/348.

3. In preparation for your interview, learn as much as you can about the internship for which you are applying, dress appropriately for a professional business setting, and be prepared to represent yourself, the Walker Institute, and Weber State University, as a great candidate for the position.

*Please do not print application materials double-sided.  Due to the application input process, this ultimately uses twice as much paper as it should.
