The story SLAM is an open-mic event. If there are more participants than time will allow, names will be drawn from a hat. Stories are usually personal narratives (on the order of the Moth). This event is open to all adults (WSU students, faculty, staff, community members).
About Bill Wight
Bill Wight loves stories! During his career in manufacturing, he used stories to help people engage in change projects. In recent years, Bill has honed his performance storytelling skills, going for a Master’s Degree in Storytelling at East Tennessee State University. In his studies, he has not only grown in his own storytelling ability, but has also learned how storytelling can make a positive impact on business professionals. As Bill puts it: “I went to school to work on stories, but then stories began working on me!”
