As part of their final project, students from five interior design courses participate by refurbishing a chair with historical significance. Chairs are then auctioned at a public event. Proceeds from the auction are divided between a chosen community partner and the Interior Design Program.

IIDA Fashion Remix: Interior Design Fashion Challenge

Fashion Remix is a fashion show sponsored by the International Interior Design Association, in which interior designers, professionals and students, are challenged to create haute-couture dresses made of interior materials.
48-hour Interdisciplinary Charrette
Fall
Each year, Interior Design students collaborate with design engineering technology and construction management students from the College of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology at Weber State University to solve a design problem in a 48-hour period.

Students from the IDT 4860 Internship, IDT 4025 Senior Project and IDT 3025 Professional Practice have the opportunity to network with local design professionals at a business luncheon held each fall.
