Business Scholarships

The Goddard School of Business & Economics has a variety of private scholarships available to continuing juniors and seniors with declared majors in the Goddard School and who have been formally admitted to our School. If you are interested in master scholarships, please contact the respective master program for further information. Goddard School scholarships are created through the generosity of private donors and corporations who contribute the private funds for these awards. Award criteria for sponsored scholarships are developed in consultation with the donors.

The Goddard School awards scholarships in the Spring of each year for the following academic year (Fall, Spring, Summer). Therefore you must apply each year to be considered. If you are interested in applying for an undergraduate business scholarship, please follow the steps below. The scholarship priority deadline is the second Monday in January of each year.

Step 1: All students receiving federal or state funds MUST fill out an online WSU scholarship application every year. It is generic information and only takes about 10 minutes to complete.

To apply, go to www.weber.edu, log into the eWeber Portal, select the Student Services tab, under the Financial Services channel, select Financial Aid & Scholarship Applications, complete the application, and submit.

Step 2: Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA form: www.fafsa.ed.gov).

In completing the FAFSA, President Obama has initiated several education initiatives that might be to a student's advantage. A FAFSA allows students to be eligible for subsidized school loans (at lower interest rates) and also gives them a "need" rating which is important for private scholarship opportunities. Do not let the word "need" throw you - the government has goofy formulas and you honestly will not know if you qualify for a private financial-need scholarship unless you fill out the FAFSA. And there are lots of private scholarships out there to be had if you only fill out the form!

Scholarship decisions are made by late March. Students awarded an undergraduate scholarship from the Goddard School are required to attend our annual Scholarship Banquet held in November of each year.
