Industrial Experience
Dr. Hearn obtained industrial experience working for two small research companies (Nanonsonic Ltd., and Applied EM, Inc.) during his Ph.D. plan-of-study. He previously was employed as a mechanical engineer for a detachment of the Naval Surface Warfare Center.  He is a licensed engineer in the state of Virginia.
Areas of interest
Dr. Hearn’s industrial and Ph.D. research were focused on electrically-small antennas and electromagnetics. His recent interest in signal processing is reflected in a professional goal to develop an EET audio signal processing laboratory.
