Mission: 

The Center for Technology Outreach utilizes resources, partnerships, and faculty expertise to promote and recruit for the Engineering, Applied Science & Technology College, which benefits future learners, business, industry, education, government, and society through our commitment to offer high-quality programs and outreach.

 

Vision:

Offer high-quality programs, create meaningful experiences, promote community engagement, respect all persons and ideas, and promote greater access and opportunity for local community members and underrepresented populations to pursue and participate in Engineering, Applied Science and Technology K-12 programs.  Spring Afterschool Programs and Summer Camps registrations are open now. Ages: 15-18
Dates: June 22-26, 2026

Students  will compete in teams to test their understanding of force, motion, and energy transfer. On the final day, students will explore diverse career paths in energy engineering and the skills needed to succeed, while also learning how engineers are shaping the future through a guided tour of energy projects on WSU’s campus.

Get ready to unleash your creativity and explore the world of web design at WEBCats Summer Camp, where bold ideas meet powerful code! Join the Wildcats for a week of hands-on learning, where you'll dive into the basics of HTML and CSS, build your very own website from scratch, and sharpen your skills in user experience and creative design thinking.

 

WSU PREP - FULL

Grades: 7-9
Jun 1 – Jul 16, 2026

WSU PREP is a free 7-week summer camp designed to prepare incoming 7th-, 8th-, and 9th-grade students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by offering an accelerated curriculum that prepares them for high school and college.

June 22 - August 5, 2026
Monday - Wednesday
9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This 7-week program provides two complimentary college courses in engineering and technology, featuring hands-on activities, tutoring, mentorship, and industry field trips.

Dates: June 1 - June 5, 2026
Cost: $15
The week-long training camp will focus on using a game development tool to build video games. At the end of the week, participants will showcase their projects for judging and winners will receive prizes.

Rev It Up Summer Camp: Build & Drive (Full)

Ages: 8-12
Date: June 18, 2026
Times: 9-2:30 pm
Cost: $25

Build and take home your own mini robotic car in this one-day camp at WSU's Davis campus.  Spend the day building your very own mini robotic car and take it home with you at the end of the camp. Along the way, you'll learn the basics of mechanics and how vehicles work, all while having fun with hands-on projects! Lunch and T-shirt provided.

Times: 9-2:30 pm
Cost: $25

Build and take home your own model V8 Engine in this one-day camp at WSU's Davis campus. Whether you're an aspiring mechanic or just curious about how things work under the hood, this camp is the perfect place to ignite your passion for engineering. Lunch and T-shirt provided.

Ages: 12-14
Dates: August 3-7, 2026
Times: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Cost: $25

Guided by professional engineers, students will build wind, water, and battery-powered projects in teams. The program concludes with expert career insights and a tour of WSU’s sustainable energy facilities.
