Why Choose Computer Science at WSU?
In
2006, Money Magazine rated software engineering as the number one job
based on current demand, stress level and salary. Computing jobs
are listed in the top 10 salary jobs from the Bureau of Labor
Statistics including computer systems software engineer ($81,140),
computer systems analyst ($67,520), database administrator ($61,950)
and network systems analyst ($61,250). Employment within the computer
science industry is anticipated to grow faster than average according
to the US Department of Labor (2006).
In the Computer Science
Department at Weber State University, we teach students hands-on
training, logical thinking, computer theory and system internals.
Our program offers a combination of practical, applications-oriented
experience along with theory and concepts of computer
science. Within our curriculum, you will learn: Flash, SQL,
Databases, (X)HTML, ASP.NET, UNIX, Delphi, JavaScript, C++, Java, C#,
PHP, CSS and much more. We want our students to walk away with an
education in the field that will give them an edge over the
