WSU hosting National Debate Tournament in March, April
On March 28 to April 1, more than 500 debaters, coaches and judges from all across the United States will come to campus as Weber State Debate hosts the national debate tournament. The event will kick off with a welcome downtown by Ogden Mayor Mike Caldwell, a graduate of WSU's Communication Department.
Student selected as Utah Public Relations Student of the Year
Amy Fiscus, a public relations and advertising major, was named the Utah PR Student of the Year on Nov. 13 in a competition sponsored by the Salt Lake City Public Relations Society of America. She won $1,000, a trophy and an internship with People Helping People.
Studio 76 now the proud owner of KSL’s News Set
Studio 76 is now the proud owner of KSL Television’s former news set. A WSU Communication alum contacted the department with the news that KSL was getting a new news set and suggested that Studio 76 could have the old one. KSL actually donated a set more than 10 years ago.
