OGDEN, Utah – The Department of English at Weber State University and the Hill Aerospace Museum have joined forces to offer a free, eight-week writing workshop for military veterans. The sessions, which will be held every Monday from Jan. 8 to March 12 excluding Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents Day, are designed to assist military veterans of all eras capture their experiences in writing. "In talking with veterans, many say these workshops give them the incentive they need to write down what they experienced while in the military," said Gary Dohrer, a WSU English professor. "A lot of them have wanted to do this for a long time." Workshops were held this past fall, and veterans who participated also said their families were excited to read about their experiences, Dohrer said. Sessions will be held at the Hill Aerospace Museum Conference Room (7961 Wardleigh Rd., Building 1955) from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact (801) 626-7318.
