Multicultural Youth Conference Designed to Assist Minority Students

OGDEN, Utah – The 12th Annual Weber State University Multicultural Youth Conference, “Total Success Live!” will be held Jan. 6, 2006, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Building.

The conference is designed for ethnic minority high school juniors and seniors interested in learning about WSU’s support services, early college, concurrent enrollment, financial aid, and scholarships.

The conference is intended to be both informative and entertaining, featuring programs, workshops, door prizes and entertainment by the Ogden High School Triple H and Beatnics. The keynote speaker for the conference will be Kilo Zamora, executive director of the National Conference for Community & Justice (NCCJ). All participants will receive a t-shirt and lunch as part of the $10 registration fee.

Scholarships will be awarded at the Parent/Guardian and Student Banquet that begins at
6 p.m. Last year more than 50 scholarships were awarded at the banquet.
