Students Organize Drive to Share Warmth
OGDEN, Utah – With the recent drop in temperatures, a group of Weber State students is sponsoring the "Share the Warmth" blanket drive. For senior citizens and children, drastic temperature changes can be devastating and sometimes deadly.

"Share the Warmth" was organized to prepare seniors and children for winter conditions. New and gently used blankets can be dropped off at the campus information booth, located west of the Miller Administration Building on WSU’s Ogden campus. A collection box is also located in front of the administration offices at the WSU Davis Campus in Layton. The group will be collecting blankets until November 24.

The blankets and proceeds from the drive will be donated to the Utah Foster Care Foundation and local assisted living facilities around Thanksgiving.

"Our goal is to warm up as many lives as we can," said Karleton Munn, who helped organize the drive. "This group is answering one of the many challenges facing today's senior citizens and tomorrow's future." Munn said new blankets are relatively inexpensive but make a huge difference for those in need.
