OGDEN, Utah – Warm up your vocal chords and polish that resumé: Utah Musical Theatre has begun its search for performers and crew members for the 2006 season. The company’s 26th season will feature productions of “Two by Two,” “Dames at Sea” and “Songs for a New World.” In preparation for these shows, UMT has announced a schedule for auditions and is currently accepting submissions for all staff positions, including directors, choreographers, designers, technicians and administrative personnel. Performers should prepare a contemporary comic monologue (1-2 minutes) that demonstrates movement/physicality. They should also bring two song cuttings (prepare 32 bars each, expect to perform 16 bars) of contrasting tone in styles consistent with the season’s productions. An accompanist will be provided. Dance callbacks will consist of advanced tap and jazz; UMT also is interested in acrobatics, tumbling and stunting.
