Critchlow Lecture to Feature Shakespearean Festival Founder

OGDEN, Utah -- Weber State University's Critchlow Lecture Series will feature Fred C. Adams, founder and executive director of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, who will present "History of Theater in Utah," on Nov. 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the Kimball Visual Arts Center.

The presentation is free to the public.

The Critchlow Lecture is endowed by William Critchlow III for historical lectures on the American West. Adams was a Southern Utah University student when he founded the festival in 1961, attracting 3,276 visitors the first season. Today, more than 150,000 people attend each year.
