WSU to Host Parenting Conference
Oct 25, 2007
OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Nontraditional Student Center will be sponsoring a parenting conference on Nov. 8 in the Shepherd Union Building. The conference is free to attendees, and lunch will be provided.

The conference will feature workshops throughout the day on topics such as the five love languages, family communication techniques, and budgeting and investing. The conference also will feature a roundtable discussion with dessert bar (limited to the first 100 participants). The gathering provides an opportunity for parents to share their thoughts and challenges with other parents. Information tables at the event will have tips on an array of parenting issues.

Throughout the day, Books Are Fun, a Reader’s Digest Company, will have more than 150 book titles for sale at special conference rates. Selections will include New York Times best-sellers, children’s storybooks, classics and more.

Businesses and organizations from the community will be on hand to offer support and services, along with resources to help parents.

Space is limited. To sign up for the conference visit weber.edu/nontrad/parenting or call 801-626-7794.
