WeberStateUniversity's Services for Women Students will host a Community Resource Fair Oct. 8 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Ballroom.
The fair is free to the public and will offer information on a wide range of topics, including internship and volunteer opportunities, health issues and career resources. The event is designed to educate students and community members about local groups, agencies and organizations that provide support and resources for a variety of needs.
Weight Watchers, Fantastic Sams, Children's Aid Society, FamilySupportCenter, Your Community Connection, Workforce Services and Big Brothers Big Sisters, are among the organizations that plan to participate. Reference materials and resources on topics such as substance abuse, HIV/AIDs, child abuse, and masectomy/breast cancer awareness will be available.
