Agreement Enhances Educational Opportunities for Hill Air Force Base Employees
OGDEN, Utah –Hill Air Force Base and Weber State University have announced a new agreement aimed at increasing the educational opportunities for base personnel.

The agreement, signed this week, allows WSU to offer certificate and associate-degree programs on the base. Initial offerings include several computer science courses to be taught by WSU faculty. Representatives for Hill AFB and WSU said they hope to build on the partnership and expand the number of programs offered.

"Weber State is offering these programs to base personnel for use in conjunction with existing Air Force off-duty education programs," said Laird Hartman, dean of Continuing Education at WSU. "By offering courses on the base, we do everything possible to make learning convenient and accessible for Hill personnel."

Hartman said the university will work closely with the base's officer in charge of education and training to provide courses and training identified as being in high demand by base personnel.
