WSU, Ogden to Participate in National Bike to Work Day
May 14, 2008
Weber State University will join with Ogden City on May 16 to support National Bike to Work Day 2008. As part of the activities, a group will depart at 7:30 a.m. from the A1 parking lot on the WSU campus and ride to the Ogden Amphitheater and Plaza for the Arts.

Since 1956, the League of American Bicyclists has celebrated National Bike Month in May. More than half of the population in the United States lives within five miles of their workplace, yet the majority ride in single-occupant motor vehicles to get to work. Motor vehicles are one of the largest contributors to poor air quality along Utah's Wasatch Front.

Local bicycle shops will be at the Ogden Amphitheater following the community bike ride offering services and information. Bingham Cyclery will be performing minor bicycle repair and offering bike maintenance tips and The Bike Shoppe will provide information on cycling safety.

For more information call 801-629-8976.
