TextSwap Textbook Exchange helps students selling books locate students who need to purchase books. The site lists textbooks according to the course and instructor to ensure students purchase the correct books for their classes.
Students can put their old books up for sale and enter a personal evaluation of the professor teaching the course. The website is new to WSU but has been successful at other Utah colleges and universities, including Utah State University and Snow College. The site is a convenient way for students to locate the textbooks they need for their classes.
Students interested in selling textbooks must first register with the site. When a student wishes to purchase a book, he/she contacts the seller via telephone or e-mail address. It is up to the students to negotiate the actual transaction; the site simply brings sellers and buyers together. The website is located at www.textswap.com.
