OGDEN, Utah – Four Delta Epsilon Chi students at Weber State University used their marketing and management skills to win top honors in competitions held at the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fla.
The winners included: seniors Bob Rowley of North Ogden, sales manager meeting; Justin Runyan and Nate Isom, of Layton, business to business; and freshman Shevonne Nelson of Riverdale, design presentation. Rowley, Runyan and Isom analyzed a case scenario and presented their solutions. Nelson was honored for her design and presentation of a contemporary fashion illustration.
Overall, 17 students from WSU placed in nine different competitions held during the five-day event. They competed against students from more than 250 colleges and universities, representing 26 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Students qualified to compete at the conference by placing in the top four of their respective events at their state competition. Nearly 300 business people served as judges for the national competition.
