WSU Holds Underwater Easter Egg Hunt

OGDEN, Utah — The Weber State University Swenson Building pool will be filled with nearly 500 brightly colored Easter eggs for Campus Recreation’s sixth annual Egg Dive, April 14 from 4-7 p.m.

Kids from 6 months to 17 years old and WSU students of all ages are invited to participate in the event. Swimmers will be divided into five different age groups to ensure everyone has a change to collect eggs. Each age group will have a turn to dive for eggs and compete for prizes.

All participants will get a goody bag, and the top three egg collectors in each age group will be awarded larger prizes.

Children under age 7 must have an adult in the water with them. Life jackets are available at no charge.

“This event is a great twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt and it gets families thinking about water safety before summer starts,” said Rebecca Mabile, WSU Aquatics and Safety coordinator.

More than 100 people participated in last year’s egg dive. Mabile said she expects a similar turnout this year.

Registration is $5 per person. To register for the event, visit bit.ly/2nUCRke.
