WSU MBA Program Raises Money for Central Asia Institute

April 8, 2011

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Master of Business Administration program has raised $9,000 for the nonprofit, Central Asia Institute (CAI).

The money will help provide educational opportunities in Pakistan and Afghanistan, with an emphasis on female literacy.

Greg Mortenson, best-selling author of “Three Cups of Tea,” founded the institute and has established 131 schools educating more than 58,000 children living in remote and volatile regions.

Mortenson was the featured speaker at the MBA program’s 10-year celebration in October.

The event, made possible by WSU’s MBA Alumni Association and the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics, was also a fundraiser for CAI.
