Ott Planetarium Hosts Blender Workshops for Local Professionals

Northern Utah professionals are invited to attend three Saturday workshops in February, where they can learn basic Blender skills and collaborate on an open movie project. Blender is a free open-source, 3-D modeling and animation software program.

The workshops will be led by Ott Planetarium staffers who use the Blender software to produce shows for the planetarium. The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 6, 13 and 20. The movie produced at the workshop will premiere at the February Science Saturday event at the planetarium on Feb. 27.
