The film tells the story of Tim Edwards, a homeless man who lived on the streets of Houston for five years. Last February, Edwards was approached by a father and son Web site development team who offered to create the Web site pimpthisbum.com where people could donate to Edwards via the Internet.
The national media seized on Edward’s story, and within two weeks he raised $70,000. Goeckeritz’s documentary tells the story of Edward’s life in the wake of this unexpected turn of fortune.
The screening, sponsored by the WSU chapter of Phi Alpha Theta honor society, is free to the public.
