The theme of this year’s festival is “Wade in the Water,” honoring the first festival back in 2000. The current line-up of performers include Akombo David Akombo, Calvary Baptist Church, Hill Air Force Base Choir, Kids Are Music, Living Waters Christian Fellowship, Second Baptist Church, WSU Concert Choir with vocal soloist Shauna Robertson and a dance work choreographed by Christina Taylor with dancers Kayla Tornes, Makenzie Halbert, Brittany Rigby, Tawna Halbert and Shalese Hadley.
The goal of the festival is to share the African-American sacred music experience with all people and to show its influence on contemporary music. The event is free to the public. All ages are welcome.
