As an Student Support Services participant, you are expected to participate in the program by doing the following things depending on your class status. Your SSS adviser will be tracking your progress.
Freshman Students (0 - 29 credit hours)
- Meet with an SSS adviser at least three times per semester.
- Attend at least two Study Skills Workshops each semester.
- Participate in one SSS-approved enrichment activity per semester (see SSS-Approved Enrichment Events link on the left).
- Complete Financial Literacy on-line course.
Sophomore Students (30 - 59 credit hours)
- Meet with an SSS adviser at least two times per semester.
- Attend at least two Study Skills Workshops per semester.
- Participate in one SSS-approved enrichment activity per semester (see SSS-Approved Enrichment Events link on the left).
- Attend at least one Financial Literacy Workshop each semester.
Junior Students (60 - 89 credit hours)
- Meet with an SSS adviser at least two times per semester.
- Attend at least one cultural enrichment event per semester.
- Explore graduate school and/or career opportunities.
- Use the career center for resume building, mock interviews, etc. and attend the Career Fair.
Senior Students (90+ credit hours)
- Meet with an SSS adviser at least one time per semester.
- Participate in one SSS-approved enrichment activity per semester (see SSS-Approved Enrichment Events link on the left).
- Finalize plans for after graduation.
- Sign up for interviews through the Career Center.
This Student Support Services Project is 100% federally funded. The grant amount for the 2012/2013 school year is $401,130.
