Generous Donation Creates Dumke Law Research Assistant Award

Fall 2013

In 2013, Ezekiel "Zeke" Dumke IV, the founder and managing partner of Dumke Law, LLP, saw a need for greater research opportunities students in the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics and made a generous donation to create the Dumke Law Research Assistant Award.

Under the supervision of Professor David Read, the Goddard School's Assistant Professor of Business Law & Business Ethics, Dumke Law Research Assistants, Jordon Foremaster and Kensey Kunkel, are learning what it means to conduct legal research and what it takes for a professor to publish an academic paper. Great training for students who are working on their degrees in Business Administration.

Professor David Read is glad to have Kensey and Jordon working with him. "When Zeke and I first talked about establishing the Dumke Law Research Assistant Award, I knew I'd be fortunate to have one student who would understand and enjoy legal research. Little did I know that I'd find two intelligent, motivated and hard working students that would be so much help. Zeke and Dumke Law not only helped the Goddard School of Business & Economics, but they created an opportunity to help two Goddard students learn skills that will help them for the rest of their careers."
