ROSES 2007: Swift Guest Investigator - Cycle 4

gamma-ray burst mission. The primary goal of this mission is to

determine the origin of gamma-ray bursts and use these bursts to probe

the early universe. Swift is also a valuable asset for obtaining

multiwavelength images, spectra, and light curves on interesting targets

of opportunity and other non-transient sources.

ITEM:

PA aiming to synergize university-industry partnerships by making project funds or fellowships/traineeships available to support an eclectic mix of industry-university linkages. This solicitation targets high-risk/high-gain research with a focus on fundamental topics, new approaches to solving generic problems, development of innovative collaborative industry-university educational programs, and direct transfer of new knowledge between academe and industry. GOALI seeks to fund research that lies beyond that which industry would normally fund by themselves. In FY 07, approximately $5 million is available to fund up to 80 awards.
