GET INTO HONORS!

 It's not too early to think about Fall Semester 2009 Graduation.  Remember,  you must be cleared through the WSU Graduation office and  be cleared through the Honors Office if you are planning to graduate in December.  All Honors clearances must be completed prior to Thanksgiving Break (November 26-27th).


Honors Issues Forum

The Honors Program presents:  The Times and Issues Forum at the Fireplace Lounge in the Shepherd Union Building.  The time is 11:30am - 12:30pm and refreshments will be served.

January 25th                                        "Who Needs Book, Anyway?" Discussion led by Kathy Payne, Library

February 8th                                         "Images of Muslim Women in the Media." Discussion led by Kathy Herndon, Department of English

February 22nd                                        "Water in the West."  Discussion TBA

March 8th                                               "Higher Education -- Too Expensive?  Discussion TBA

March 22nd                                            Discussion led by David Ferro, Department of Computer Sc.

April 5th                                                "Digging up the Graves:  Native American Artifacts." Discussion led by Janie Hershey

Partnership with Service

Let's join with "Bridging the Gap" to assist with the Senior Ball at the Mountain Ridge Assisted Living Center.  This is a great opportunity to give to senior citizens who have given so much to our community in the past. 

Date:  February 11th

Time:  10-12am in the Community Involvement Center -- blowing up balloons and making corsages.

           12-4:30pm at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living Center (1885 Skyline Drive) -- decorating

           5:30-8:30pm Senior Ball

Social Cultural Activity - Snowshoeing with Dr. Johnston

Date:  Saturday, February 6th

Time:  8:30am

Place:  Meet at the Wilderness Recreation Building (Annex 9).

Dress warm and bring a lunch, snacks, and water.  It will be great fun!
