Get Into Weber Video Contest

Get Into Weber Video Contest Entry Form

Here's how it works...

Create your own video and upload it to the web (YouTube, blog site, etc.).  Then click on the "Submit Your Video" link on this page, fill out the submission form and give us the link to your video.  That's it!

Dates

  • Start date for submitting videos: September 7th
  • Video submission deadline: December 20th
  • Finalist videos selected: December 23rd
  • Prizes awarded: January 10th

Prizes

  • 1 $1,500 scholarship for first place
  • 2 $500 scholarships (one award for each finalist)
  • Plus, the first place video will also win a $1,000 scholarship for their school!

If your video wins one of these scholarships and there is more than one submitter for the video, the prize will be split between the submitters.

Guidelines

  • Be as creative as you like: the theme is "Get into Weber", but you can really do anything you like as long as it relates to WSU.
  • Videos should be creative, fun, not overly promotional, and positive in nature about Weber State.
  • Videos should be no more than 2 minutes in length
  • Follow community standards for obscenity
  • Videos may not contain any copyrighted material, including copyrighted music, not in the public domain or for which entrant has not obtained the rights to use. Entrants must receive appropriate permissions for use of third parties, third party voice-overs or third party stock photo photography or artwork.  The finalists will be posted on our website, but that is not possible if the video uses copyrighted material without permission.

Legal Stuff...

All entries must be the original product of entrants’ own creative efforts. Entrants agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless WSU and its officers, employees and agents against any copyright, trademark, invasion of privacy claims and all other claims, actions, liabilities, losses, expenses, damages and costs arising out of participation in this contest. Entrants agree to grant WSU a royalty-free worldwide right and license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, create derivative works from, and display entries in whole or in part, by all means whether now known or hereafter devised. Entrants also grant WSU the unconditional right to use the idea and statements about the video for advertising/publicity purposes without additional compensation. Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall WSU be liable for any direct, incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages, or exemplary or punitive damages, arising out of participation in the contest, including, but not limited to, posting on or access and/or download of any materials.
